Variations in Preserved Traces
Once liquid movement stops, the remaining visible structures vary across observations:
- High feature retention: Boundaries, linear paths, and layered movement traces stay clearly visible on the surface.
- Low feature retention: Similar liquid movement occurs, but leaves much less prominent or simpler final marks.

Distribution Patterns of Visible Material
Retained marks display in different locations depending on the recorded event:
- Boundary-focused: Traces assemble primarily along the outer liquid edges.
- Interior-focused: Visible structures remain inside central areas that developed during flow.
- Combined distribution: Both edge lines and interior features appear together within the same formation.

Completeness of Path Records
The completeness of preserved details varies across logs. Some events preserve a continuous record of the liquid's flow path from start to finish, while others retain only isolated regions suitable for visual tracking.
