Single Color System Concentration States and Surface Feature Logs in Volatile Liquids
Victoria HilbrechtObservations of volatile liquids show that even within the same color system, different liquid concentration states lead to noticeably different recorded surface features during flow and drying.

Boundary definition and internal mark patterns change depending on the concentration recorded:
- Boundary definition: Some logs display continuous, sharp dark boundary lines, while others show soft, gradual transitions with less distinct edges.
- Internal lines: Dense parallel lines cover large areas in some events, whereas other logs show loose, open marks that fade into surrounding areas.


Coverage area and sediment marks also vary across logs:
- Surface coverage: Some liquid pools spread across a wider surface and leave long movement paths, while others stay within a smaller, compact zone.
- Dark sediment lines: Heavy sediment lines form prominent features on the final surface in certain logs, but remain subtle or isolated in others.
