Because liquid remains under the influence of gravity throughout formation, even slight surface inclinations alter movement paths and influence subsequent structural development.

Surface Inclination and Liquid Movement

Archive records show that when the working surface is not completely level, liquid moves toward lower surface areas:

  • Slow liquid drift or pronounced directional movement toward one side
  • Shifts in established flow paths as liquid continues advancing
  • New boundary formation and localized accumulation along lower edges
