Dark Lines Along Liquid Boundaries
Lines darker than the surrounding liquid surface appear along advancing or receding edges. These edge structures often stay in place while liquid continues moving elsewhere, leaving visible traces across the surface.

Variations in Line Spacing and Density
Line patterns vary noticeably across recorded logs:
- Spacing: Some logs record widely separated lines, while others show closely spaced, dense groupings.
- Continuity: Lines appear either as single uninterrupted paths or as multiple layered sets across the surface.

Visibility After Movement Ends
Once liquid movement stops and drying completes, these boundary lines remain visible on the final surface. The resulting patterns preserve the exact locations where liquid edges previously rested.
